About
Since our humble beginning in 1876 the Company has only had 12 people serve as our President, and only 6 people served as Secretary & Treasurer. This relatively low number of major officers shows the commitment and determination of the officers to provide continuity to the continued success of the Company. The Company itself has seen the following changes since our beginning. In 1908 the Secretary was authorized to rent an office building in Edinburg. In 1915 it was decided to move the office to Woodstock. In 1923 the Company purchased an office building on Lawyers Row, renovated, painted and repaired the building. In 1926 electric lights & central heat were installed in the office. In 1943 the company changed the name from Shenandoah Farmers Home Mutual Fire Insurance Company to our present name. In 1970 the company purchased an office located at 215 W. Court St. in Woodstock. In 2005 the company purchased its present office located at 660 N. Main St. in Woodstock. We would like to take this time to thank our valued customers for your patronage during the past century. We have worked hard to become your loyal insurance company. Courteous, prompt and dependable service is what we strive to provide. We appreciate the opportunity to have served you and look forward to providing you with these same services in the future.
